Former US Secretary of the Army Christine E. Wormuth was named President and Chief Executive Officer of the Nuclear Threat Initiative by the organization's Board of Directors in October 2025 and began serving in November. A national security leader with more than 30 years of experience in defense policy, strategic planning, and international security, Wormuth served as the 25th Secretary of the US Army.
