Cameron Hudson is a senior fellow in the Africa Program at the Center for Strategic and International Studies. His previous roles include senior fellow at the Atlantic Council's Africa Center, where he studied democratic transitions and conflict in the Horn of Africa, and executive director of the United States Holocaust Memorial Museum's Center for the Prevention of Genocide. He has also held a number of roles across the US government, including chief of staff to presidential special envoys for Sudan during South Sudan's separation and the Darfur genocide, director for African affairs at the White House National Security Council during the Bush administration, and intelligence analyst in the Africa Directorate at the CIA.
