Ali Alsarraf represents companies and individuals in their most complex and high-stakes disputes. He brings a wealth of experience in litigating and advising clients regarding crises that pose an existential threat to their companies’ businesses or brands. He also assists clients in navigating domestic and international forums and regulatory regimes in matters with significant human rights implications.
Alsarraf has significant experience representing clients in federal and state courts in high-profile cases involving civil RICO, Anti-Terrorism Act, Alien Tort Statute, Torture Victim Protection Act, fraud, breach of contract, securities fraud, legal malpractice, and defamation claims. His crisis management and litigation practice include representing clients held hostage overseas, victims of terrorism, and other international law violations who seek to vindicate their rights through litigation in United States courts, and investors seeking to recover their expropriated foreign investments. Alsarraf has successfully obtained emergency injunctive relief in federal court against New York City and has trial experience in the Southern District of New York, in the Delaware Court of Chancery, and before an SEC administrative law judge.
During law school, Alsarraf founded the USC chapter of the International Refugee Assistance Project and received the Miller-Johnson Equal Justice Award for his commitment to civil and social justice.
