Born and raised in Chicago, Jessica Brzeski has been connected to the city's international scene through various academic and professional roles, including a 2020 Council internship. She returned to the Council in 2025 and currently serves as the program officer for digital content & strategic partnerships. Previously, Brzeski participated in the Pathways Student Internship Program at the US Department of State, where she later became a civil service officer working at the intersection of democracy and human rights issues within multilateral foras, particularly at the United Nations. In addition to the federal government, she has experience working with foreign embassies, multilateral organizations, and non-profit organizations. Brzeski obtained her BA in International Relations and French Language from Loyola University Chicago, where she studied abroad in both Sydney, Australia, and Paris, France. Subsequently, she received her MA in international affairs at George Washington University, where she specialized in US Foreign Policy and Europe/Eurasia.
