About This Event

Join us for an informal happy hour on Tuesday, August 4, at Midwest Coast Brewing for an evening of conversation and connection. Meet new people, catch up with old friends, and talk about all things global affairs.

For members of the EL community, we hope you’ll attend and bring a friend or colleague who would benefit from the program.

For prospective applicants to the program, come meet past and present ELs and learn about their experiences.

The Emerging Leaders Program brings together Chicago's rising stars, typically ages 30–45, from across industries, for a rigorous yearlong experience at the intersection of global affairs and local leadership. Participants sharpen their understanding of US foreign policy, build an elite cross-sector community, and gain tools to tackle global challenges right here in Chicago. Applications for the class of 2027 opened on July 1 and close on September 1.

Please reach out to Molly Jirgal, Program Officer for the Emerging Leaders Program, at mjirgal@globalaffairs.org with any questions.
