About This Event

In January 2026, LSE IDEAS—the foreign policy think-tank of the London School of Economics & Political Science—convened a Commission on Defence & Security containing leading scholars of international relations, as well as former senior military and policy officials, to examine the causes and consequences of the growing security challenges facing Europe today. In March, the commission released a discussion paper titled The Russian Threat to European Security: How Should NATO Respond as the Global Order Changes?

In this private digital setting, Leslie Vinjamuri will go in-depth with policy experts and former senior military officials to discuss and analyze the commission’s findings.

This program is held in partnership with LSE IDEAS, RAND Europe, and the Centre for European Reform (CER).

Participation is limited and by invitation only.
