About This Event

Select senior leadership from corporate partner companies are invited to participate in private, off-the-record roundtable meetings hosted by the Council.

This roundtable discussion and private breakfast will feature Stephen Vaughn in conversation with Carl Tannenbaum. The two will analyze the critical trade issues shaping America's economic strategy, including tariff policy, trade negotiations, and the legal frameworks that govern international commerce. A foremost authority on current US trade policy, Vaughn will share insights from his experience at the highest levels of policymaking and discuss the current trajectory of US trade relations. A Q&A portion will follow the conversation. 

The breakfast will be hosted at the Chicago office of King & Spalding, located at 110 N Wacker Dr, Suite 3800. Doors open at 7:45 a.m. CT, and the conversation will take place from 8 to 9 a.m. Registration below is required. Attendees should bring ID to present to lobby security upon arrival.

Carl Tannenbaum is the Chief Economist for Northern Trust. In this role, he briefs clients and colleagues on the economy and business conditions, prepares the bank's official economic outlook and participates in forecast surveys. He is a member of Northern Trust's investment policy committee, its capital committee, and its asset/liability management committee.
