Mike Lombardo
Principal, Blue Star Properties
Mike Lombardo is principal, managing broker, and attorney for Blue Star Properties, which owns over one million square feet of office, entertainment, retail, and industrial properties in Chicago. Notable projects include The National, a historic 600,000-square-foot Daniel-Burnham-designed property in the central loop, the Morton Salt redevelopment that was recently transformed into The Salt Shed, Thalia Hall in Pilsen, Revival Food Hall, and From Here on Food Hall in the Old Post Office, as well as countless loft-style office properties and multiple Michelin-award-winning restaurants.
Lombardo also has a robust tenant representation practice, representing companies in office, industrial and retail lease transactions in the city and suburbs. He has a thorough understanding of the Chicago commercial real estate market and has applied this knowledge—not only as a broker but also as an attorney—to ensure that his clients reduce their occupancy costs and obtain lease terms most favorable to them.
Lombardo received his Bachelor of Science in finance from the University of Illinois Gies College of Business and his Juris Doctorate from DePaul University College of Law. In his spare time, Lombardo was a member of the Chicago Chapter of City of Hope and is the former chair of the Chicago Bar Association Young Lawyers Real Estate Committee.
