Lauren Densham
Director, Public Sector Strategy, KPMG
In her current role, Lauren Densham supports public sector, higher education, and nonprofit clients evolve their organizational strategy and processes to more effectively achieve their mission and better serve constituents. In her time with KPMG, she has supported leading public and private sector organizations with strategy development, organizational transformation, and sustainability initiatives.
Prior to this role, Densham led strategy projects on behalf of KPMG’s global chairman and supported the evolution of KPMG’s global network strategy. She was also involved in numerous sustainable development initiatives, including the development of thought leadership in collaboration with the UN Global Compact exploring industry-based opportunities for creating shareholder value through the achievement of the sustainable development goals. She was previously part of KPMG’s corporate strategy group and was an auditor in KPMG’s financial services audit practice. She has worked in KPMG’s offices in London, Barcelona, and Chicago.
Densham is also passionate about applying her skills to give back to the Chicago community. She is a partner with Social Venture Partners Chicago, providing financial and pro bono strategy support to innovative nonprofits in Chicago. In 2018, she also completed a fellowship to World Business Chicago, helping evolve the Global Youth Ambassadors Leadership Program and supporting inclusive entrepreneurship with ChicagoNext.
Densham has a degree in accounting and international business from University of Wisconsin, Madison. She also completed a Sustainable Development Leadership Program with Yale and the World Business Council for Sustainable Development in 2017.
