Dan Misch

At Argonne National Laboratory, Dan Misch's work contributes to the innovation ecosystem of world-class laboratories, universities, and businesses in Chicago. He's an advocate for international collaboration and investments in advanced energy technology to strengthen US national security.
Previously, Misch served in the US Navy as a Lieutenant and nuclear engineer on a ballistic missile submarine and is an active supporter of the veteran community. In 2016, he founded the Veterans Advanced Energy Summit to educate other military veterans on global energy security challenges. Misch is a member of the Truman National Security Project and a Take Point Fellow with the Atlantic Council. He was named to the Midwest Energy News’ 40 Under 40 and was a Call to Service finalist for the Chicago Federal Executive Board Awards in 2017. Misch received a BS in physics from the US Naval Academy and an MA in public policy from the University of Chicago.
