Amy Francetic

Managing General Partner & Co-Founder, Buoyant Ventures

Amy Francetic's career spans over 20 years of high-technology entrepreneurship, private equity, and research. She previously founded and led Energize Ventures, a $165 million venture fund that invests in digital energy technologies. She also held roles at the Stanford Research Institute, where she worked on an early version of the voice recognition technology that became Siri.

Francetic helped build the Clean Energy Trust, which accelerates the development of clean energy technologies in Chicago and across the Midwest. She has extensive experience in technology management and entrepreneurship, particularly in commercialization through her positions as entrepreneur-in-residence at the Stanford Research Institute and co-founder of Invention Bridge. She was recognized as one of the "Top 100 Young Innovators in Technology" by the Massachusetts Institute of Technology’s Technology Review for her work in videogames and high-tech toys. She earned a BA from Stanford University.
