Amanda Spikes
Economic Sanctions and Export Control Officer, KPMG LLP
In her role at KPMG LLP, Amanda Spikes leads the operations of the internal export controls and sanctions compliance programs for the United States and Americas region while devising, recommending, and implementing strategies to continuously improve their effectiveness. Prior to her current appointment, Spikes was a senior manager in KPMG’s trade and customs practice, where she worked with clients across a broad range of industries to assess regulatory import and export compliance matters, develop global trade compliance strategies, and identify customs duties savings. She also previously worked as an international trade manager at Robert Bosch North America, focusing on export controls compliance and as a tax manager for KPMG in Thailand, where she advised multinational clients on customs, excise, and value-added tax.
From 2015 to 2018, Spikes was in a leadership role with the KPMG Network of Women, connecting with organizations like Girls in the Game and the Women’s Global Education Project. She holds a bachelor’s in economics and juris doctor with a certificate in international trade and finance law from the University of Kansas.
