EU-US Economic Relations Roundtable
Ben Carliner, Nora Hesse, and Diane Swonk discuss the economic outlook and recent policy developments in the European Union.
About This Event
After recovering from the twin shocks of COVID-19 and Russia’s invasion of Ukraine, global economic growth is being challenged by ongoing trade tensions, policy uncertainty, and an unpredictable geopolitical environment. Nonetheless, the European Union is successfully navigating this new economic environment, recording better than expected growth in 2025. Globally, the EU is working hard to craft fair and transparent international agreements that promote the free flow of trade, investment, and ideas while defending the rules-based international order. This roundtable discussion featuring Ben Carliner and Nora Hesse in conversation with Diane Swonk will focus on the economic outlook and recent policy developments in the EU.
