State Department approves $700G gardening contract in Belgium despite sequester warnings

    Isn't it strange that the State Department will spend all this money on a garden for a U.S. ambassador's home, but wouldn't improve security for another U.S. ambassador in Libya last September? Talk about messed up priorities! :tantrum-93:

    Two totally different budgets Allene. And Congress is the only agency that can change that. While on the surface it looks bad (well, it really is bad), they couldn't have taken the funds from that budget and applied it towards a different one. Against the law.

    I see. Thanks for the heads up.Too bad they didn't have all that money in the other fund. What happened in Libya still bugs me.
