When John Hickenlooper is something approaching the voice of sanity in the Democrat party.
He was booed this weekend when he made statements saying, "let's get away from Socialism."
In 2014, when Hickenlooper ran for re-election as Governor of Colorado, he faced a serious challenger. To make sure he stayed in office, he basically threatened to pardon a guy by the name of Nathan Dunlap if he wasn't re-elected.
Dunlap was convicted in 1993 for shooting up a Chuck-E-Cheese's in Aurora where he had been recently fired, killing four people and injuring a fifth. Hickenlooper basically had a temper tantrum that if he didn't get his way, he was going to release someone who had (at the time) sat on Death Row for almost 20 years back into the public.
So when someone like this is the "voice of reason," we all need to be worried.
