Dark, as in the German sci fi series on Netflix. A while back I watched the first episode, thought I was looking at a decent horror series, and put it aside. I finally got around to the second episode and holy shit, now you got my attention, science-fiction series. 
I'm now into season 2.
You can't know the players without a program, in this case you have to know incarnations of German players in three different time periods 33 years apart. The show's web site on Netflix helps in that regard.
